Frederick DiMeo, of Perkasie, PA died on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. He was 86.
He was the beloved husband of 67 years to Mary Vivian Marchesani DiMeo.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Anthony DiMeo Sr. and Marie Sarullo DiMeo.
Frederick grew up in SouthPhiladelphia went to Bok Technical School and soon after graduating married the love of his life, Mary Vivian. Unfortunately they were not married very long when he was drafted into the US Army and sent off to serve his country. Upon returning home he took a job as an engineer with Unisys, where he had a 40 year career.
He was a loving and devoted husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling with his beloved wife on cruises throughout the Caribbean, Pacific and Europe. He was a passionate golfer and a talented woodworker.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his children Frederick DiMeo Jr. and his wife Theresa of Clayton, DE, Theresa M. Vona and her husband Vincent III of Chalfont, Janet Troiano and her husband Kenneth of Perkasie, Natalie Brandt and her husband Stephen of Cohassett, MA, and his brother Anthony DiMeo Jr. and his wife Maureen. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren: Jamie DeVitis (Zachary), Joseph Troiano, Daniel DiMeo, Gina Anderson (Nick), Christian DiMeo, Ian Lyster, Christopher Brandt, Stephanie Vona, Vincent Vona IV and his one great-grandson: Zachary DeVitis
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 10:30 until his Funeral Mass, 12:00 PM on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 in St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Ave. Chalfont, PA 18914. His interment with Military Honors will be held at 2:00PM in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Association, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
