Agnes M Bennett, of Doylestown, PA died on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at Pine Run Lakeview. She was 96.

She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Miller “Bud” Bennett.

Born in Forty Fort, PA, she was the oldest daughter of seven children to the late Andrew and Julia V. O'Leary Kardish.

Agnes graduated from Germantown High School and then continued on to the University of Pennsylvania for a period of time before having to work and support the family.  She initially took a job with Philco Ford and then it wasn’t long before they recognized her skills and attention to detail that she assumed the position of Administrative Assistant.  For over 25 years she served executives at the company and then in 1977 she retired and moved to Florida.

While in Florida she returned to college this time to the University of Miami and obtained her degree and was licensed as a Certified Financial Planner. However work was not her only passion, she loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and swimming.  She was skilled with her hands and enjoyed doing needlework and other various crafts.

For many years, both she and her husband enjoyed Florida but then returned to the Mid-Atlantic area settling in Cape May, NJ.  She and Bud enjoyed many years there and it was just a few years ago that she moved to Doylestown to be closer to her brother.

She is survived by her brother Dr. Thomas J. Kardish and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Her family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until her Funeral Mass 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 235 E. State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901. Her interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, Mass Cards would be appreciated or contributions in her memory to Little Sisters of the Poor, 5300 Chester Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19143.
