Dorothy Neal, age 97, died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, February 4, 2019, at the Bridges at Warwick senior living community in Warwick, Pennsylvania.

Dorothy was the beloved wife of Bernard, her late husband to whom she was married for 74 years. She was born Dorothy Maud Dickinson on November 30, 1921, in Cleethorpes, England, to Charles and May Dickinson. She lived in Cleethorpes until immigrating to the United States in 1990 to be with her son and his family. She became a long-term resident of Bucks County and lived in Newtown, Holland and Warminster before moving to Warwick in 2017.

During World War II, Dorothy worked for the American Red Cross in England, supporting the United States Air Force crews stationed locally. She apprenticed in England as a seamstress and spent most of her working life in this profession. In her retirement, she continued to use her sewing skills and was an avid quilter and member of a quilting club.

She will be truly missed by her family and friends in both the United States and England.

Dorothy is survived by her son, David J. Neal of Holland and his wife Pamela; her granddaughters, Sarah McGinnis and Lisa Tice and their husbands, Paul McGinnis and Joshua Tice; and her four cherished great- grandchildren, Natalie, Kate, Norah and Lucas.

Relatives and friends are invited to express their condolences on Monday, February 11, at 10:30 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. Dorothy’s internment will be held privately.
