Lori B. Adams of Philadelphia died peacefully on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Jeanes Hospital with her loving family by her side.  She was 37.

Lori was the beloved wife of Byron A.  Adams.

Born in Abington, she was the loving daughter of William J. and June C. Stewart Appel.

Raised in Warminster, Lori was a 1999 graduate of William Tennant High School, where she had also been a “Senior Sweetheart” nominee.  She went on to graduate from West Chester University in 2003, earning her degree in Education.

Lori’s first position following college was as administrative assistant for Bohler Engineering and she went on to lead a long career in healthcare.  She served as Hospital Program Coordinator for Hahnemann University Hospital and most recently was Senior Program Coordinator for Temple University’s department of Graduate Medical Education.  She loved music and art and was a talented makeup artist, sharing her talent with many.

There aren’t enough words to describe a person like Lori. To put it simply, everyone just loved her.  Whether it was in her professional or personal life, she was quick to make friends everywhere.  She was adventurous, had an infectious smile, and possessed a fun personality, quick wit, and tenacity that kept everyone around her smiling. If you met Lori once, you were a friend for life and she was happiest when spending time with family and friends, especially her daughter.  Her love and devotion for Delaney was without measure.

Lori’s illness was brief and treatments were tough but she will be remembered for the bravery and grace she displayed as she took on the fight for her life.  She was always showing more concern for those around her than herself, and was often the one comforting everyone else. Her inspiration will be treasured and remembered by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband and her parents, Lori is survived by adoring daughter Delaney Adams.  She also leaves behind her dear sister and best friend, Jennifer J. Appel as well as countless extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Monday, January 21, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM  at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954.  Her services and interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory maybe made to “The Delaney Adams Educational Fund”, c/o the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd., Richboro, PA 18954.
