Joyce G. Martin of Southampton went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Chandler Hall.  She was 63.  

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the wife of Michael Martin and the daughter of the late William and Jacqueline Meder Wilcock.

In 1995, Joyce founded and remained the Director and Head Teacher of the New Life Christian Church Pre-School until 2001 when she stepped down as Director and remained as teacher till 2016.  She enjoyed gardening and tending to her many potted plants, forming a close relationship with her Lord and Savior by actively participating at Church, the Women’s Bible Study, Sunday School, by singing with the Choir and reading her Bible on a daily basis.  Joyce was a devoted mother to her children and a kind soulwho absolutely loved all children.  She will be greatly missed, but she will be eternally loved by everyone who had the pleasure to have been a part of her life.

In addition to Michael, Joyce is survived byher beloved children: Matthew W. Martin of Ivyland and Heather L. Martin of Glen Mills, PA.,by her two dear grandchildren, Christian and Victoria, and her dog Winnie, who she adored.​She is also survived by her cousin Debbie Valinsky (Joseph), her uncle Charles Wilcock, and her nephews Joe Valinsky(Kimberly) and Jeffrey Valinsky (Leslie Masi).

Joyce’s family will receive friends on Monday, January 14, 2019 from 9:30 AM until the start of her Funeral Service officiated by Rev. Dr. Norman J. Leve, Jr. at 11:00 AM in New Life Christian Church, 4 Freedom Dr., Newtown, PA 18940.  Her interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Feasterville.
