Harold B. McKale, Jr., of Langhorne, died of complications from non-Hodgkins lymphoma lymphocytes on Friday, January 4, 2019, at his home surrounded by his family. He was 78.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the beloved husband of 52 years to Mary Ellen (nee Deasy) McKale, son of the late Harold B. McKale, Sr. and Catherine (nee McCloskey) McKale, and brother of the late Joan and ( late Joseph)  Szafranski and George McKale.

Harold graduated from Mastbaum High School, class of 1960 and then enlisted with the United States Navy in 1962. After 6 years in the Navy, he married his beloved wife, Mary Ellen and settled in Langhorne. He worked for 26 years at Giles & Ransome in Bensalem as a mechanic for Caterpillar heavy equipment and later as an assistant training manager, served in the Army National Guard from 1984 to 2000 and worked servicing coffee machines until his retirement. In his retirement, he repaired coffee machines and enjoyed carpentry. Every year he enjoyed hunting with his father, brothers and sons. Harold loved his family. Always possessing a generosity of spirit, he would never say no to anyone who needed his help.

Harold was a member of the Langhorne Rod and Gun Club, The American Legion Post #148, Veteran Guard 3rd Regiment Infantry and a Member of the NRA. Also, he was a parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Parish, Penndel, PA.

In addition to his beloved wife he is survived by his sons, Rev. Fr. Harold B. McKale, III, Kevin (Karen) McKale, his grandchildren Saige Alisa and Ethan Patrick McKale, his brother, Dennis (Sue) McKale, his sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Patricia McKale, Peggy and Ted Fischer and nieces and nephews;  Dave Petersman, Debbie Doneker, Jager Bollendorf and Peyton Petersman and many cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewings on Thursday evening January 10, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday, morning from 8:30am until 9:30am, at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, The con-celebrated Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, 225 Bellevue Avenue, Penndel, PA 19047. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, Mass cards would be greatly appreciated.
