Roberta Schulz of Ocean City, NJ passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at her home.  She was 82. 

Roberta was the beloved wife of Gerhard R. Schulz, Jr. with whom she had shared 59 years of marriage. 

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Charles Elwood and Florence Mahler Mathers. 

A graduate of Lincoln High School, Roberta went on to lead a long career as a bookkeeper.  She and her husband resided most of their life together in Glenside before eventually retiring to their favorite place, Ocean City, NJ.

While raising their family in Glenside, Roberta was active in local politics, was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and along with her husband, treasured time cheering on their children and grandchildren in their sporting events and activities.  In retirement she was active within the American Legion Post 524 in Ocean City and also enjoyed time with friends playing shuffleboard. 

Most of all she will be dearly missed as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to many.

Surviving are her children, Gerhard Schulz III and his wife, Alicia, of Hummelstown, PA and her daughter, Linda Schulz of Media, PA.  She also leaves behind her five grandchildren, Luke Lesher, and Garrett, Lauren, Alexis, and Michael Schulz; and her sister, Beverly Osborne (the late Harold).

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Service at 10:00 AM on Sunday, January 6, 2019 in the Chapel of Peace at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 W. County Line Rd., Feasterville, PA 19053.  Her entombment will follow in the adjacent Mausoleum.
