Helen M. Ambrose of Holland died Monday, December 31, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 91.

Helen was the beloved wife of the late Stanley Joseph Ambrose.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Magdalena Luzenski Pulaski and the sister of the late Edward Pulaski, Dolores Kelly and Frances Reisser.

Helen was a former resident of South and North Philadelphia before moving to Holland in 1977. She was a waitress at George’s Restaurant at Broad and Erie Streets in Philadelphia and eventually purchased the Restaurant with her late husband Stanley before eventually selling the business. She was a Communicant of St. Bede the Venerable Church and a member of their Young at Heart Club and also a member of the St. Andrew Senior Citizen Club. Helen was extremely family focused. She dedicated a tremendous amount of love and concern for her children and cherished the time she spent especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and by all who came to know her.

Helen is survived by her children; Karen A. Kaplan and her husband Jerry of Philadelphia, Thomas S. Ambrose and his wife Donna of Upper Southampton, Mark B. Ambrose and his wife Margie of Croydon and Michael S. Ambrose and his wife Dona of Levittown. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 9:30am until her Funeral Mass 11:00 am in St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966. The interment for Helen will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contribution in Helen’s memory to may be made to the St. Bede the Venerable Church, Mosaics and Bell Tower Fund, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966.
