Ronald Stephen Katits of Perkasie peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at his home in the presence of his loving family.  He was 70.

Ron was the devoted husband of Judy Peltier Katits with whom he had shared 26 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia he was the son of Ethel E. Eberly Katits of Hatboro and the late Carl J. Katits.

Ron graduated from William Tennent High School and went on to serve proudly with the United States Air Force, having been honorably discharged in 1971.  He would later own and operate K. Mechanical, Inc. until his retirement in 2012.

One of the most special places in the world to Ron was his family’s property at Indian Acres on the Chesapeake Bay in Cecilton, MD where he treasured time on his boat out on the water and spending time with his family and close friends there.

Ron was an avid car lover, a proud supporting member of the NRA and enjoyed gardening, reading, and woodworking; having shared his creations with friends and family over the years.  He loved food and was passionate about cooking and enjoying many meals with those he loved.  He was hard working, devoted to his family and loved by so many people who will miss him dearly.

In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by his children, Kevin Katits (Beth) of Sellersville, PA, Kari Simonian (Kevork) of Yardley, PA and Tara Acerenza (Michael) of Philadelphia, PA.  He also leaves behind his seven grandchildren and his brothers, Carl and Michael Katits and their families.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Katits.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Monday, December 31, 2018 from 10:30 AM until the start of his Funeral Service at 11:30 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd., (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954.  His interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to The Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18954 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
