Francis E. Plenskofski of Doylestown died Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Harborview Rehabilitation and Care Center at Doylestown. He was 95.
Francis was the beloved husband of 62 years to the late Jean Nahill Plenskofski.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Edward and Elizabeth Langel Plenskofski and the brother of the late John, Edward and Elizabeth Stewart, Margaret Graf, Dorothy Stephan and Emily Cavanaugh.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Francis was a former resident of the Fishtown section of Philadelphia before moving the Somerton Section of Philadelphia. He served as a Philadelphia Fireman with over 25 years of dedicated and distinguished service until his retirement in 1973. Throughout the years, he had worked as printer with Hibbert Printing and various other positions until his retirement. Francis will be remembered for being a devoted family man and truly enjoyed the quality times he spent with his family especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who came to know him.
Francis is survived by his children; Barbara Pawlishyn and her husband Robert of Hilton Head, SC, Denise Plenskofski of Voorhees, NJ, Frank Plenskofski and his wife Barbara of Doylestown. He is also survived by his brother Joseph Hartzel of Phoenixville and his 5 grandchildren, Melissa, Robert, Thomas, Matthew and Holly and his 2 great grandchildren Giada and John Paul.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 11:30am until his Funeral Service 12:30pm on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. Interment for Francis with military honors will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.
