linda A. DeCarlo of Mantua, NJ and formerly of Port Richmond, Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Inspira Medical Center Woodbury, NJ surrounded by her loving family. She was 98.

Zelinda was the beloved wife of the late Joseph L. DeCarlo and sister of the late Aida C. McMullen.

Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Adolph and

Virginia DiPietro DelGrande.

Zelinda and her husband co-owned the DeCarlo’s Luncheonette in the Port Richmond Section of Philadelphia for many years. It was

there that she cultivated her already amazing cooking skills, becoming known to all as the most fantastic cook around. Zelinda was also talented with knitting and sewing and enjoyed using her skills in caring for those she loved. She possessed a great deal of fortitude and tenacity, never leaving you to wonder what was on her mind and above all else Zelinda was simply a wonderful person who was steadfastly devoted to her family. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her children, Joseph DeCarlo of Mantua, NJ and Marie E. DeCarlo and her husband, Thomas Woollam of Richboro, PA. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, James Slade (Sondra Castellani) and Joseph Slade (Doreen); her two greatgrandchildren, Jacob and Alessandro Slade; many nieces, nephews, cousins, God Sons and countless family members in Italy; as well as her siblings Romeo Mattioni and Benedetto DeAnnuntis.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 10:00 AM until her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main St., Mantua, NJ 08051 and to

her graveside service on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 2:30 PM at Hillside Cemetery, 2556 Susquehanna Rd., Roslyn, PA 19001.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls, 1000 W. Lycoming St., Philadelphia, PA 19140.
