Jenine Lombardo Bottaro-Moncavage passed from this life peacefully at her residence, The Birches at Newtown, on October 29, 2018. She was 93.
She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas A. Bottaro, Sr. and the late Albert Moncavage and sister of the late Anna DiPietro, Rita Tamburri, Angie Pirolli, Carmella Mancini, Millie Staffieri, Rose Ryan Raesley, and Louis Lombardo.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter to the late Frank and Pasqualena Ferraro Lombardo.
Jenine was a prior resident of the Holmesburg Section of Philadelphia for 61 years. During World War II she worked in a defense plant as a “Rosie the Riveter”. In later years she took great satisfaction working as a nurses’ aide for many elderly nearing the end of their journey.
Jenine is survived by her children, Nicholas A. Bottaro, Jr. (Patty), and Richard Bottaro (Virginia); her sisters, Mary Tanzola and Delores Giorgi; her grandchildren, Nicholas A. Bottaro III ( Becky), Barbara Ann Holberg (Frank), Lisa Marie Garner (Donny), Karen Lynn Goppold (Christopher), Michael Joseph Bottaro (Nicole), and Andrew Dennis Bottaro (Jill). She was also the beloved “Gigi” to her great-grandchildren, Connor James Holberg, Meghan Ann Holberg, Emily Rose Goppold, William Nicholas Goppold, Edward Dante Bottaro, and Brynn Barbara Bottaro.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 9:00am until her Funeral Mass 10:30am at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd., Holland, PA 18966. Her interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jenine’s name may be made to St. Bede the Venerable Church Mosaics and Bell Tower Fund at the above address.
