James Joseph White, Sr., died on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Attleboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with his family by his side. He was 84 years old.

He was the beloved husband of Jane E. (Wolf) White. The couple just celebrated their 61st anniversary.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late James and Marie Bowers White.

Jim will be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor, charismatic personality and extraordinary generosity. He was extremely hard-working and felt fortunate to have been able to retire at the age of 57, after working for decades at Moore Business Forms and owning his own business. His work ethic allowed him to spend more time with his family and travel with Jane. The couple visited 43 countries and traveled extensively throughout the U.S. Jim was a proud veteran, having served after the Korean War as a military policeman in the U.S. Army. He was also an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Penn State football.

He earned a B.S. in Business Management and Marketing from La Salle University and an M.B.A. from Temple University.

In addition to his wife Jane, Jim will be missed by his children, Dr. James “Jim” J. (Sheryl) Jr., Diane McNaughton, Beth (Fran Casey) Boruta and Janice White; his grandchildren, who knew him as “Rocket Pop,” Amanda, Jimmy Chris, Meghan (Alex Wagner), Mark Jr., Kelly, Erin, Danny and Olivia; his brother, Joseph J. White; and his granddog, Lily. He was predeceased by his treasured grandson, Christian McNaughton. He regretfully will miss the birth of his first great-grandchild in December.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Jim’s family on Monday, Oct. 29, from 10 a.m. until the start of his Funeral Service at noon at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Rd., Newtown, PA 18940. His burial, with military honors, will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
