Martin Robert “Bob” Byrne passed away peacefully on Monday, October 22, 2018. He was 79.

Bob was the beloved husband of Janis Breese Byrne.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son to the late Martin Richard Byrne and Beatrice Scrivens Taylor.

Bob was a 35 year resident of the Newtown area. He worked for 38 years as a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep. for Bristol-Myers Squibb. He was proud of his position as the former Grand Knight of the Raymond V. Hennessy Council # 6145 Knights of Columbus in Newtown PA. He was also a longtime board member of the Agape Campfire Program, a program for boys and girls sponsored by the Archdiocesan Office of Youth and Young Adults. He was, above all, a family man. He loved coaching his daughters at the Newtown Colonial Softball League, as well as coaching for the St. Andrews Soccer Team. Bob will truly be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his loving daughters; Colleen M. Byrne and Susan M. Brown and her husband Michael, as well as his brother Dr. John Byrne and his wife Bonnie, his brother-in-law Jim Breese, his sister-in-law Barb Breese, and his nieces Stacey and Bridget.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Bob’s family on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 10:00am until his Funeral Mass 11:30am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Rd., Newtown, PA 18940. His interment will follow at Newtown Cemetery, Newtown.
