Marion E. Leszczynski, who was better known as Les to his family and friends, passed away peacefully in the afternoon on Tuesday, October  9, 2018 at Twining Village Healthcare.  He was 86.

He was the beloved husband of 56 years to Mary Ann Brach Leszczynski.

Born in Philadelphia, Les was the son of the late Marion G. and Laura Burczynski Leszczynski.

Les was a graduate of Northeast Catholic High School and the University of Notre Dame, where he was able to express his love for theater by directing many of the university’s plays and musicals.  He served his country in the United States Army from 1954-1956.  Les worked for most of his career as a General Supply Manager for the U.S. Mint.  After his retirement, he was actively involved in local politics.  He enjoyed many reunions at his beloved alma mater, the University of Notre Dame and was a lifetime loyal fan of the Fighting Irish Football team. He embraced his Polish heritage by faithfully attending the Polish American Festival at the Shrine of Czestochowa every year and making homemade kielbasa with his family for the holidays.   

In addition to his wife Mary Ann, Les is survived by his three children: Mark Leszczynski and his wife Lisa of Richboro, Laura Riggs and her husband James of Holland, and Carolyn Randolph and her husband Scott of Southampton.  He is also survived by his five grandchildren: Suzanne Leszczynski, Emily Riggs, Mary Pat Riggs, Alexander Randolph and Jason Randolph, his sister Phyllis Koc of Philadelphia, and numerous nieces and nephews.

His family will receive friends on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 9:00 am until his Funeral Mass at 10:00am in St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd. Holland, PA 18966.  Interment will follow with Military Honors at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.
