Richard A. Salmane of Ivyland, PA died on Monday, October 1, 2018, at his residence. He was 98.

Born in Brackenridge, PA, Richard was the beloved husband of the late Olive Shafer Salmane for 57 years and was the son of the late Edward and Mary Bushman Salmane.

Richard was a graduate of Tarentum High School, class of 1937. Richard’s professional career spanned several professions from working as a crane operator for Allegheny Ludlum Steel Co and several tool and dye companies. He spent most of his career with the IBEW # 380, working in and around the Philadelphia area. Richard was an avid reader and enjoyed hunting. He will be sadly missed by his devoted daughters and their families. 

Richard is survived by his dear children, Sandra L. Krisher (Paul) and Lorie S. Sheley (Gerry), He is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Brad Simpson, Scott Sheley, Gwen Brambani (Austin), 2 step grandchildren; Stacy Venticinque (Dominic), Kimberly Brady (Jack), 3 great grandchildren; Emma, Anna and Chase and 6 step great grandchildren; Erika, Karalyn, Jack Jr., Sophia, Dominic Jr., and Eva and 1 step great great grandson, Carter.

Richard’s family will receive condolences on Monday Oct 8, 2018 from 8:30 am to 9:45 am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, and to his Funeral Mass 10:30am at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church 1420 Almshouse Rd. Jamison. Interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville, PA.
