Walter R. Foraker Sr. of Warrington passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Neshaminy Manor Home. He was 84.
Walter was the loving husband of 58 years to the late Emanuella G. Frezza Foraker, and was preceded in death by two infant siblings.
Born in Wilmington, DE he was the son of the late Walter and Margaret P. Watson Foraker. Walter graduated from Salesian High School in Delaware where he played Football and was nicknamed "Red". He went on to serve in the Army overseas, in Germany, during the Korean War and was awarded a good conduct medal. Walter went on to work for the U.S. Post Office followed by becoming a computer operator at Johnsville Naval Base NADC, where he was promoted to computer assistant prior to retiring honorably after 34 years of military and government service. After retiring, Walter and Emanuella began to travel and eventually settled in Leesburg, Florida. He was a longstanding member of the Knights of Columbus and an avid coin and stamp collector.
Walter is survived by his devoted children, Walter R. Foraker Jr., Michael Foraker, Margaret Wilkie and her husband Michael, Sharon M. Card and Ellen Sonnet. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Friday October 5, from 9:30am until his Funeral Mass 10:00am at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Rd., Richboro, PA 18954. His interment with Military Honors will follow in Union Cemetery, Richboro.
