Philomena DiPaolo of Richboro, died Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Oak Hills Terrace in Tyler, TX. She was 79.
Philomena was the loving and devoted wife of the late Jeffrey A. DiPaolo. The two had shared 54 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2014.
Born in Vitulazio, Italy she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Maria Scialdone Aulicino.
Philomena was known as a gentle and loving soul who also possessed a zest for life and tenacity admired by many. She was active in her Parish Community of St. Bede the Venerable in Holland and played bridge every week with close friends. Although she dedicated much of her life to caring for her husband and children, she later worked at Artie’s in Richboro, the dental office of Dr. Lentini, and assisted her sister-in-law at Trevose Flowers.
As if all of the above didn’t keep her busy enough, she always found time to bake her famous cookies which she distributed with love to family and friends. Lastly, Philomena always had time for her family, nurturing them through the generations and leaving a legacy of love and devotion to the many who loved her. She will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her children, Dr. Jeffrey C. DiPaolo and his wife Holly of Sea Girt, NJ, Dr. David P. DiPaolo and his wife Sue, of Tyler, TX and Diana A. DiPaolo-Loren, PhD. and her husband Lewis, of Medford, MA. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Nicholas, Dominic and Lily; and her sister, Beatrice DiResta (late Peter).
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ciro and Joe Aulicino.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 10:00 AM until her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd. Holland, PA 18966. Her entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice of East Texas in Tyler, TX (https://www.hospiceofeasttexas.org/).
