Florence Agnes Sharkey passed away on September 20, 2018 and was originally of Philadelphia and currently Long Beach Island, NJ. 

She was the beloved wife of late John J. Sharkey for 70 years.

Florence was the loving mother of Carole A. (nee Sharkey) Cappo and the loving grandmother of Jamie C. Boudman and her husband Edward and Dennis J. Cappo and his wife Marissa. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren Mackenzie, Connor, Jack, Riley, and Mark and her many nieces and nephews.

Born in Philadelphia, Florence was the daughter of the late Richard and Esther Murtha Roach and the mother-in-law of the late Dennis J. Cappo.

Florence worked 40 years for GlaxoSmithKline until her retirement. She then enjoyed splitting her time between Oldsmar, FL in the winter and Long Beach Island, NJ in the summer. She lived life to the fullest and never allowed her physical challenges to get in the way. Whether you addressed her as Mom, Nan, Aunt Floss or Aunt Sissy, Florence will be deeply missed by all who came to know her.   

She was extremely devoted to St. Jude and her Catholic faith. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 10:00 am until her Funeral Mass 11:00 am on Thursday, September 27^th in St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Avenue, Chalfont, PA 18914. Florence’s interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont.
