Walter S. Tyndall of Holland, PA died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, February 5th at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown. He was 75.

He was the husband of Dolly Lyons Tyndall.

Born in Raleigh, NC Walter was the son of the late Hughie and Margaret Tyndall.

Walter attended Drexel University and enjoyed a long and successful career in the aerospace industry. Most notably, he worked as a senior engineer for NASA’s Lunar Lander and Northrup Grumman’s B-2 Stealth Bomber. Walter also performed design work at Gulfstream, Boeing, GE, Lockheed, and Falcon Jet.

Walter enjoyed hunting, hiking, and cooking, and displayed a constant appreciation of nature and the great outdoors.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving and devoted children; Linda M. Truempy and her late husband William of Holland, Brian J. Tyndall and his wife Joanne of Philadelphia, Debbie A. Carlin and her husband Patrick of Holland, Judy M. Tyndall of Philadelphia, and Gregg J. Tyndall and his wife Bobbie of Pine Valley, and 10 loving grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters; Iris Leshnick and her husband Arnold, Margie Kopack and Carol Tyndall and his brother-in-law Jack Untz.

Walter’s family will receive friends on Tuesday Evening, February 11th from 6:00pm until his Memorial service at 7:30PM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will be private.

In Lieu of flowers, Walter’s family asks that everyone take a moment to enjoy nature and the local parks that he so often frequented.
