Donald H. Souilliard of Langhorne passed away peacefully on September 13, 2018. The loving husband of Kathryn Moser Souilliard.
Born March 17,1928 in Allentown, PA he was the son of the late Charles and Laura Kemmerer Souilliard.
Donald was a graduate of Muhlenberg College and Temple University Medical School. During his residency at Scared Heart Hospital, he met the love of his life Kathryn Joan Moser. Before they married in 1957, Donald served in the Navy as medical officer on a destroyer in the Atlantic Fleet. After leaving active service, they moved back to Pennsylvania where he worked at Abington Hospital and Lower Bucks Hospital. He then worked at Doylestown Hospital where he served as the head of the laboratory department for 30 years before retiring in 1993. He was a member of Emilie Methodist Church, where during retirement he was part of the Monday morning men's crew and the Free Spirits. He served on the board of the Emilie Methodist Day School and Lenape Valley Foundation. He enjoyed reading, needlework and puzzles.
In addition to his wife of 61years Kathryn, he is survived by his son John (Julie) Souilliard of Alburtis, PA his daughters Donna (Harry) Oliver of Langhorne, Sharon (late Carl) Pullins of Langhorne, and Debra (Corey) Mulliken of Doylestown . He also leaves behind his brother Richard (Joyce) Souilliard; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister June Onufer.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 10:30 AM until his funeral service at 11:30 AM at the Joseph A Fluehr Ill Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954. His interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery, Newtown.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
