James Roy Scott 96 of Langhorne passed away Tuesday September 11, 2018 after a lengthy illness. He was 96.

Jim is survived by the love of his life, Eleanor Morris Scott with whom he shared 69 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Roy L. and Isabelle M. Sexton Scott.

Jim served in the Navy during World War II and again during the Korean War.  He earned his degree in business administration from Temple University before going to work at Nabisco Company for over 30 years prior to his retirement.  Jim enjoyed being a volunteer of over 24 years with St. Mary Medical Center, going to his happy place of riding his tractor around his property, and supporting his favorite team, the Philadelphia Phillies.

In addition to his beloved wife Eleanor, Jim is survived by his son David James Scott (Marg) of Greensboro NC, his 2 grandchildren Jeff of Fort Mill, SC and Jennifer (Tom) of Georgetown, SC, and also 3 great-grandchildren.

Jim’s family would like to express their gratitude for the longtime support of their neighbors, Jennifer Hunt and Fred Billet.

Services and interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
