Patrick P. Carroll of Feasterville died Friday February 7, 2014 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne surrounded by his loving family. He was 89.
Patrick was the beloved husband of 67 years to Susan Pitt Carroll.
Born in Eldersville, PA, he was the son of the late Patrick and Eliza J. McGorry Carroll and the father of the late Patrick P. Carroll Jr. and Kathryn Lombardo and the father-in-law of the late William Hannah, II.
Patrick was a long time resident of Feasterville before recently moving to Flagler County, FL. Patrick P. Carroll was many things. He was a first generation American whose parents arrived from Scotland. Patrick was a proud veteran who served in the Pacific during World War II aboard the USS Tingey and arrived at Pearl Harbor just after the attack that fateful day and also served during the Korean Conflict. Patrick was the Past Post Commander of the Liberty Post VFW 1906 in Philadelphia. He was a nationally certified boiler inspector who was well respected throughout the insurance industry. Patrick was a man who knew every road and every town in Pennsylvania. He was a lover of Scotch Whiskey, fine music and the ocean. Patrick will be deeply missed by his family and by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his wife Susan, Patrick is survived by his children, William Carroll and his wife Eileen of Pennsauken, NJ, Susan Schickling and her husband Joseph of Richboro, Michael Carroll and his wife Deb of Emmaus, PA, Edith Hannah of Holland and Dawnmarie McCullough and her husband Kevin of Feasterville. He is also survived by his son-in-law Salvatore Lombardo of Bensalem and his 23 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 9:30am to 10:30am and to his Funeral Mass 11:00am on Wednesday February 12th in the Assumption B.V.M. Church, 1900 Meadowbrook Rd. Feasterville, PA 19053.
Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 700 Horizon Circle, Ste. 201, Chalfont, PA 18914.
