Arlene T. Luff of Furlong, died peacefully on Monday August 13, 2018 at Brookdale in Dublin. She was 85.

Born in Warminster, she was the beloved wife of the late Clarence C. Luff, who died in 1997, daughter of the late William Sr. and Emma Fesmire Tanner, pre deceased by 3 sisters:  Miriam Dilks, Eleanor Kimbel, Alberta Forsyth and 4 brothers; Walter, Edwin, William and Leonard Tanner and 2 sisters-in-law; Thelma J. and Charlotte M. Tanner and 3 brothers-in-law; Evan Kimbel, Robert Dilks, Walter Maximuck and her step son Robert R. Luff.

She was a graduate of Council Rock High School, class of 1950. Arlene knew what hard work was having worked on the family farm along side her siblings.

After she married her beloved Clarence, she spent time raising her family. Arlene lived in Richboro for over 35 years before moving to Furlong in 1987. She enjoyed country music and traveling with family and friends. Arlene was a volunteer at Doylestown Hospital where she devoted over 8,000 hours and 18 years of her time which was a pleasure for her.

Arlene enjoyed being a grandmother, spending time with her grandchildren, and she will be remembered fondly by them.

Arlene is survived by her devoted children and their spouses, Diane E. English and her husband John, Sandra L. Forsyth and her husband Lee, Brian K.  Luff and his wife Donna, Cheryl A. Ewer and her husband Wayne, and Jeff W. Luff and his wife Anna. She is the dear sister of Sally Maximuck, Norman Tanner and his wife Joan and. She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren,13 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother-in-law George Forsyth, sisters in law; Grace Tanner and Dorothy Tanner.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewings on Sunday evening August 19, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and again on Monday morning August 20,  from 9:30 am until her funeral services at 11:00 am in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro.  Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Richboro.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Doylestown Hospital, 595 West State St., Doylestown, PA 18901 or the Alzheimer’s Disease Association, 399 Market St. Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
