Harvey A. Shultz of Cherry Hill, age 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 after a short illness and stay at CareOne in Moorestown, NJ. with his loving fiancé, Olga Cavaliere at his side. He also had the love and support of his family and friends during his illness.
Born in Boston, MA he was the son of the late Samson and Jean Korim Shultz.
Harvey was the fiancé and best friend of Olga Cavaliere with whom he shared his life, love, and adventures for 23 years.
Harvey earned his bachelor’s degree in Entomology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and was a board certified Entomologist. He was a United States Army Vietnam veteran and remained in the Army Reserves, retiring as a Colonel in 2002. His numerous awards and decorations included the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Army Commendation, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign medals.
Harvey spent his civilian career with the United States Navy Department of Defense as the Director of Environmental Sciences, retiring in 2006.
Harvey enjoyed nature and the great outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, former charter boat captain, and devoted Boston Red Sox fan.
