Margo A. Ragan stopped writing words that danced on July 31, 2018 at 10:05am. With grief and extreme sadness her family communicate this news. In marriage and in friendship, her husband of 53 years, Thomas C. Ragan stood by her side to share laughter, love, the growth of their children and grandchildren and in death he held her hand and whispered words of his eternal love and devotion.

While Margo may have been born in Providence, Rhode Island and lived for many decades in Newtown, her heart and soul lived next to the ocean in California. Her son, Paul T. Ragan, and beloved granddaughter Emma S. Ragan, drew her and my father each winter to the West Coast. Her relationship with Emma was such that during a luncheon the love and laughter Margo shared with Emma was so apparent that a stranger asked to take their picture together to capture the moment. In California Margo gained an inner peace and found in many ways her "happy place."

Drawing her back to the East Coast was the strong pull and love for her daughter Jocelyn S. Micolucci, her son-in-law Louis M. Micolucci and their two sons, Luca and Bastian. Margo relished in her role as "MomMom" to the boys and the weekend sleepovers at her house became a celebrated ritual that would never be complete unless there was a trip to Goodnoe's to end the night. Luca and Bastian bought Margo and Tom coffee mugs that read "I (heart) MomMom" and "I (heart) PopPop." These mugs made the cross country journey each winter in Margo's carryon luggage and were the first items unpacked in California.

Many years ago, Margo's sister the late Martha Aramian of Rhode Island once commented that Margo and her sister Sue Aramian of New York were like bookends. The two sisters while opposite in many ways, had an uncanny ability to know what each other was thinking and even on more than one occasion show up in the same outfit to an event!

Margo was blessed to have friendships that spanned decades and those more recently built. She treasured each unique loving aspect of her friends and welcomed them with joy, sincerity and compassion into her life and that of Tom. These lasting friendships were forged through her years as an educator both on the high school and college level; her community volunteer work; and the opportunity to publish words for a living. Next to her family and friends, her next love was the written word and Margo loved to read! Tom often teased her that there was not a piece of paper, notecard or card that she did not glance at, red line any errors, or mentally "wordsmith!"

A graduate of Brown University (Pembroke) and University of Rhode Island provided her with her love of learning, exploration and of course, books.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 11:30am until Margo’s celebration of life at 12:30pm on Saturday, August 11th in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, Pa 18954.
