Michael P. Kane passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family on July 31, 2018.  He was 65.

Michael was the devoted husband of Ilona A. Keller Kane.

Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Rita M. (Frazier) and Joseph M. Kane and proudly grew up in an Irish household with his three sisters.

Michael graduated from Father Judge High School and went on to lead a long career in the restaurant business.  He started his career at Bob’s Big Boy and eventually worked his way into kitchen management for his family’s restaurant, Ilona Keller’s Dugan’s Restaurant and Banquets in Philadelphia where he remained for over 30 years

An avid Philadelphia sports fan, he was perhaps most devoted to the Philadelphia Eagles.  And, even though many didn’t agree with him, he was staunch in his faith that Nick Foles would eventually be the one to give them a Super Bowl Championship.

Michael loved dogs, especially the family beagle, Candy, and enjoyed long walks in the Playwicki Park.  He also enjoyed countless trips to the New Jersey Shore.  He was steadfastly devoted to his wife and children, and never missed a sporting event for his kids.  Michael’s memory will be forever cherished by the many whose lives he touched.

In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by his children, Ilona Kane Duffy (Sean), Colleen C. Ecker (Kevin), Michael W. Kane (Tony Murphy), and Kerriann T. Kane (Clinton Mikulecky).  He will also be missed as an adoring “Bot” to his grandchildren, Callan & Declan Duffy and Lochlann Ecker; and leaves behind his sisters, Kathleen Duncan (Joseph), Maureen Bratton (Allan), and Eileen Hoffmaster (Richard) as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Service 11:30 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.), Richboro PA 18954.  His interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Eagles Charitable Foundation, Novacare Complex, 1 Novacare Way, Phila., PA 19145.  E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!! SBLII Champs MVP #9
