Joseph F. Loeffler of Langhorne, died peacefully on Monday, July 30, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. He was 71.
Born in Philadelphia, Joe was a resident of Langhorne for the past 34 years. He was the beloved husband of 50 years to Charlotte S. Lingman Loeffler and son of the late Joseph J. and Margaret A. Fuchs Loeffler.
Joe was a graduate of Council Rock High School, class of 1965; he attended Penn State University. Joe followed his Grandfather and Dad in the family business, and was President of the Loeffler Corp., a specialty machine shop, which made parts for the Marine industry especially for the United States Navy.
Joe was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Grace Parish in Penndel; and would annually support the Unbound Program that provides education for children that are less fortunate. Joe enjoyed playing chess and fishing. He was an avid reader, enjoyed listening to classical music, and classic cars, especially corvettes. Family vacations where always fun, he also loved the times he and Charlotte headed to Ocean City New Jersey for a quiet weekend.
What brought a smile to his face and a sparkle in his eyes are his 20 grandchildren and soon to be 21 and he would often say “How Blessed I am”. He will be deeply missed by his devoted family and friends.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his dear children and their spouses Sharon Detweiler and her husband Jonathan, Jennifer Mayle and her husband Stephen, Maryann Gutherman and her husband Charles, Joseph A.
