Marianne C. Gieseler, of Jamison, PA died on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Doylestown Hospital. She was 82.

She was the beloved wife of 63 years to the late Manfred “Fred” Gieseler who passed away in April of this year.

Born in Duchorow, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Clara Bass Gruetzmann.

Marianne immigrated to the United States with her family at the age of 11 and settled in Philadelphia.  Only a year after graduating from Girls High School in 1953, she married her beloved Fred at the age of 19.

She lived in Philadelphia for many years and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she was married. Later, she became a proud member of Calvary Chapel in Philadelphia. In 1970, she moved to Southampton where she raised her family. Recently, she moved to Jamison in 2016.  For over 30 years, she worked as an office manager in the Richboro Shop n Save before retiring in 2003.

Marianne loved the beach and spent many years in Sea Isle City. She loved traveling the world with her husband, knitting, and her regular trips to the casino. But most of all, her love was for family and the time she spent with them.  Her family always came first!

She is survived by her son Steve Gieseler and his wife Nancy of Chalfont, a son David Gieseler and his family and her sister Lillian Eitzen of Toms River, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jarrett and his wife Lauren, Jamie Lee and her husband Brett and her great-grandchildren Lia Grace and Brooks.

Her family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, PA 18901 from 9:00 AM until her funeral service at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler. 

In lieu of flowers contributions should be made to the First German Sport Club, Phoenix, 301 W. Bristol Rd., Feasterville, PA 19053.
