Katherine Heritage, of Holland died peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Twining Village Healthcare. She was 94.
Katherine was the beloved wife of the late Alfred M. Heritage and the daughter of the late Harry and Ella Leedom Fromuth.
Katherine was a lifelong member of North and Southampton Reformed Church where she taught Sunday school, was active in Women’s Circle and Aid for Friends. She spent years as a volunteer Scout leader, school librarian and sewed for the Needlework Guild of America. Katherine devoted her life to her husband and family, which was evidenced by the daily letters she wrote to her husband during his deployment in World War II and in the yearly family trips to the beach, which she saved for all year long. Katherine loved flowers and baking and was an accomplished seamstress who made many personal items of clothing and gifts for her family, including dresses for the children’s dolls and elaborate wedding and prom gowns. She was proud of the time she spent working for the Saturday Evening Post where she met Norman Rockwell. Above all, Katherine cherished every moment where a memory was created with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren especially those made at the beach and in her home in Trevose. Katherine will be greatly missed, but eternally loved by everyone whose life she has impacted with her love and presence.
Katherine is survived by her loving children: Kathy Piscadlo and her husband Joseph of Morrisville, Kenneth Heritage and his wife Sharon of Berwick, PA, and Amy Miller and her husband David of Holland. She is also survived by her 8 dear grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.
Katherine’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 10:30am until her Funeral Service 11:30am in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will follow at Churchville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to North and Southampton Reformed Church, 1380 Bristol Rd. Churchville, PA 18966 or to the Southampton Branch of the Needle Work Guild of America, 822 Veterans Way Warminster, PA 18974.
