Mary J. McIntyre, affectionately known to all as “Janet”, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Quakertown surrounded her family.  She was 75.

She was the loving and devoted wife of 57 years to William E. McIntyre.

Born in Philadelphia Janet was the daughter of the late William and Catherine Groves Gaynor.

It would be impossible to capture Janet in just a few words; however everyone would agree that her personality and presence were simply infectious.  She was funny, outgoing, and if you met her once you were instantly a friend for life.  Janet made friends everywhere she went, including on her many visits to Las Vegas.

A long time resident of Holland, she owned and operated Suburban Auto Tags for many years.  She was a graduate of Bishop Neumann Business School and was also a talented seamstress having created countless items for family and friends over the years.

Most of all Janet will be remembered for her steadfast love and devotion to her family.  She was ever so proud of them, most especially her grandchildren and great-grandson.  Janet was simply adored by all those who came to know and love her and her memory will be forever treasured by many.

In addition to her husband, Janet will be greatly missed by her daughters, Catherine Schisselbauer (Paul) of Doylestown and Janet M. McIntyre (Mark Zimmerman) of Doylestown.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael (Brittany), Joseph (Kati), Timothy, and William Schisselbauer and her great-grandson, Adrien Schisselbauer.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 10:00 AM until her Funeral Mass 11:30 AM at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd., Holland, PA 18966. Her interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, 3401 Civic Center Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19104.
