Dr. Gregory A. Ciminera, DO of Newtown and formerly of Richboro died peacefully on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Buckingham Valley Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was 67.
Born in Philadelphia, Dr. Ciminera was the beloved husband of the late Dr. Judy L. Gerard-Ciminera, MD and the son of the late Frank and Anna Longini Ciminera.
Gregory was the son of a baker, working many hours within his father’s shop, learning the trade before moving on to a Master’s education, preceding his entry into medical school. An entrepreneur like his father, Gregory started a small Family Practice in Warminster, Pennsylvania, partnered with his wife, Judy. He remained in practice until 1996, retiring as an Associate Professor in Drexel University’s College of Medicine.
Dr. Ciminera left home for a skilled nursing facility in the year 2000, returning most weekend afternoons to visit with his family, and bond over a shared love of the Philadelphia Eagles, and Italian pastries. He has continued a loving relationship with his friends and family, welcoming two daughters-in-law and two granddaughters since 2011.
Dr. Ciminera is survived by his four loving sons: Nicholas G. and his wife Lorie, Cameron P. and his wife Kori, Kyle D., and Drew T. Ciminera. He is also survived by his dear granddaughters: Noelani and Kaileia
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Viewing on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 10:00AM until his Funeral Service 11:00AM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd.
