Carl J. Petetti, Jr., “Skip” of Doylestown and formerly of Holland, died peacefully surrounded by his devoted family after a courageous battle with stage 4 cancer on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at his home. He was 73.

Born in Philadelphia, Skip, as he was known to family and friends was the beloved husband of 53 years to Mary Allbrook Petetti, the son of the late Carl J. Sr. and Frances DiRenzo Petetti and brother-in-law of the late Sonny Tulio.

Skip was raised in the Olney section of Philadelphia, graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School, class of 1962, where he lettered in Basketball and played on the All Catholic Team. He went on to play basketball for St. Joseph University and graduated class of 1966 with his degree in Accounting. After graduation he went to work with Touche Ross & Company. Skip had many peaks and valleys with his cancer that just a few years ago the St. Joe’s Hawk made a special unannounced visit to see Skip after a tough time with his chemo treatments to let him know "The Hawk Will Never Die”.

He was a resident of Bucks County for 51 years, having lived in Bensalem before moving to Holland in 1972. After relocating to Holland, he changed his career and opened Richboro Collex and had a successful career in the auto body repair business for over 31 years. Skip was a fixture in the Northampton community. He was very outgoing, yet shy. He supported many causes, especially those that involved sports, to name a few, St. Bede CYO, Northampton Softball, and Little League and many of the programs put on by the Northampton Park and Rec. Department. For many years at Christmas time Skip, dressed up as Santa, partnered with the Northampton Twp. Volunteer Fire Department and traveled throughout the community making Christmas special for those children and families that were going through hard times. Bethanna was one of his favorite stops, for many years nobody knew that Skip was Santa.

Skip gave his time to help as an assistant special team’s football coach at Council Rock. He looked forward to playing golf with friends and telling great stories.

He retired in 2003 and moved to Doylestown. Skip never had a bad day, as he said that his cancer was just a bump in the road, he brought laughter and tears of joy and hope to all those who sat along side him during their chemo treatments.

Skip will be remembered for his quick wit, infectious smile and always wanting to sing you a song.

In addition to his wife, Skip is survived by his dear children and their spouses MaryFrances Doherty and her husband Kevin, Carl J. Petetti, III, Renee Fagan and her husband Chris, Stephanie Messina and her husband Michael and Antoinette “Toni” Petetti, his brother Dr. Donald A. Petetti and his wife Catherine, his 3 sisters, Barbara Tulio, Rita P. Davine and her husband Robert and Frances Petetti Londergan. He is also the proud Pop-Pop of 8 dear grandchildren: Killian, Jack, Hailey, Michael, Abby, CJ, Josie Rose and Maximus.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday evening June 26, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, and on Wednesday at St. Bede the Venerable Church 1071 Holland Road from 9:30 am until his Funeral Mass 11:00am. Interment will be private.
