Francis R. Staudenmeier, of Furlong, PA died on Wednesday, February 19 at Doylestown Hospital. He was 74.

He was the beloved husband of 49 years to Maureen A. Filan Staudenmeier.

Born in Pottsville, PA Frank was the son of the late Joseph C. and Mary Ellen Campbell Staudenmeier.

Frank graduated from the University of Scranton in 1962 with his Bachelor’s in Accounting. Most of his career was spent working with the County Government in Bucks County. For over 20 Years, he was the County’s Budget Director before transitioning into the Bucks County Prison System as the Finance Director.

Frank was the treasurer for 35 years for the State Street Players and was also successful coach for both softball and basketball within the Doylestown Athletic Association. He shared an appreciation for golfing, cooking and for hosting friends and family at numerous gatherings throughout the years, but above all Frank cherished all of the time spent creating meaningful memories with his beloved family.

In addition to his beloved wife, Frank is survived by his 6 loving and devoted children and their spouses; Joseph F. Staudenmeier and Stacey of Doylestown, Nancy M. Hardimon and Jeffrey of Jenkintown, Richard W. Staudenmeier and Leigh Ann Quakertown, Jennifer A. Slaymaker and Darryl of Doylestown, Jeanne E. Caputo and Matthew of Quakertown, Mary Ellen Naylor and Stanton of Furlong, and also his 16 loving grandchildren.

Frank’s family will receive friends on Wednesday Evening, February 26th from 6:00-8:00PM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901and on Thursday, February 27th in in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 East State St., Doylestown, PA 18901from 10:00am until his Memorial Mass at 11:00AM.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation, 620 West Germantown Pk., Suite 250, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462.
