Donald Francis "Don" Macron of Newtown passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Monday, June 18th, after a long illness. He was 77.

A gentleman and a gentle man, Don was a devoted husband of 52 years and the quintessential family man.

A chemist and salesman by profession, Don's great intelligence, polite and trustworthy nature, and easy smile made him respected and successful in his field, as well as an admired friend to many of his colleagues and clients. He was a history buff, a travel enthusiast, and a voracious reader—a passion he instilled in each of his three children. Don will be remembered for his great sense of humor, infectious grin, and honest and sincere personality.

He is survived by his cherished wife, Margaret "Rita," and his beloved children, Donald (Sarah), Melissa, and Douglas (Franny), along with his four adored grandchildren, Lucy, Hannah, Zoe, and Fox. In addition, he is lovingly remembered and survived by in-laws Katherine and Eugene Brennan, and nieces, Brid and Michelle, along with other family members in Ireland and England, and friends around the world.

Don left a lasting impression on everyone he met and will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Monday, June 25, 2018 from 12:00 noon until his Prayer Service at 1:00PM at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Rd., Newtown, PA 18940. His interment will follow at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown PA. A luncheon will follow at Washington Crossing Inn, 1295 General Washington Memorial Blvd, Washington Crossing, PA 18977.
