Joan Dorothy Yoder Hynoski, of Holland, PA, died peacefully on Monday, May 28, 2018 at Virtua Rehabilitation Center at Mt. Holly, NJ. She was 83 years old.

She was the beloved wife of the late Walter J. Hynoski.

Born in Shamokin, PA, she was the daughter of the late Russell Yoder and Anna Tarcheskie Yoder and sister of the late Alma Padden and Jeannie Costello.

Joan’s greatest love was her family. She spent countless hours shuttling her sons to their sports practices and attending most of their sporting events.  She saw everything from little league activities, to various high school performances, to high school league championships, and college competition.  When required, she even helped nurse her sons back from an array of injuries.  Through all the years, she was the quiet strength behind all of their effort and success.

She took pride in her daughters-in-law and her grandchildren.  She treasured every moment spent with her extended family.

Joan also enjoyed the many years working with New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company (now NJM), a wonderful employee centric corporation headquartered in West Trenton, NJ.

Joan will be sadly missed by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Karen Hynoski, David and Lisa Hynoski, Matthew and Michelle Hynoski and Michael and Coleen Hynoski; her brother, Gilbert Yoder; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kristen, Lauren, Kevin (Kristen), Melynda (Chris), and Alex; and her great grandchildren, Caden and Desmond.

Family and friends are invited to greet the family on Friday, June 8, 2018, from 9:30am until the start of her Funeral Mass, at 11:00am at the Olde Church of St. Andrew, 135 S. Sycamore St., Newtown, PA 18940.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be made to Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
