Wilmer G. Ward Jr. of Mullica Hill, NJ died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, May 27, 2018.  He was 74.

Born in Abington, PA, Wilmer was the beloved husband of the late Sharon Thomas Ward and Sandra Baker Ward, the loving grandfather of the late Georgiana, and the son of the late Wilmer G., Sr. and Aura Legg Ward.

Wilmer was a veteran of the Navy who served the country proudly and faithfully.  Prior to being a PATCO High Speed Rail Train Engineer, Wilmer drove Buses for the Atlantic City Casinos.  He was an automotive enthusiast who treasured his collector’s edition Corvette.  He was known by his family and friends as a person that would be able fix anything with his cars and home.  He enjoyed spending time meticulously maintaining his automobiles, time spent dining with friends, playing games of chance at the casino, but above all he cherished the moments he spent with his beloved daughters and grandchildren.  Wilmer will be greatly missed, but loved eternally by everyone who was loved by him.

Wilmer is survived by his loving and devoted daughters: Jennifer Phelan and her fiance Jim Rodgers and Terri Steele and her husband Matthew, and his son-in-law Michael McHugh and his step children: Tara Sorgentoni and her wife Jen and Vincent Sorgentoni and his finacee Sam  He is also survived by his six grandchildren: Kelley, Ryan, Gregori, Gavin, Jacob, and Hailey, his three sisters: Dorothy Yeagley, Marjorie Sweigart, and Lorre Bayer and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wilmer’s family will receive friends on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 11:30AM until his Memorial Service 1:00PM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954.  Interment will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation, 5 Valley Square, Suite 210 Blue Bell, PA 19422.
