Raymond F. Glanzmann of Holland died peacefully on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 with family by his side. He was 76.
Born in Philadelphia, Ray was the beloved husband of 57 years to Ada D. Seddon Glanzmann, son of the late Richard V. and Madeline M. Eitscher Glanzmann. He was predeceased by 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Ray was a resident of Holland for the past 40 years. He was a man with determination and grit. He was the owner and President of Glanzmann Subaru of Jenkintown since 1983. His work ethic, personality and kind hearted nature lead him to all of his successes in the automobile business and in life. He was a Communicant of St. Bede the Venerable Parish. Ray was on the Board of Directors of the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia. He was very proud of the work the ADAGP accomplished with the Caring for Kids Foundation. He was an car enthusiast and a collector of classic cars. His family was the sparkle in his eyes; he looked forward to spending quality time with them in Ocean City, NJ on the beach and boardwalk.
Ray and his wife Ada traveled thru out the world but he loved coming home to Bucks County to be with family and friends.
In addition to his beloved wife Ada, Ray is survived by his dear children and their spouses Raymond R. Glanzmann and his wife Barbara K., Paul G. Glanzmann and his wife Margaret L., Jennifer G. Vesey and her husband Thomas R., and Deborah J. Glanzmann. He is the devoted grandfather of: Paul M. Glanzmann, Thomas R. Vesey, Sean P. Glanzmann, Madalyn A., and Hannah E. Vesey, Grace M.Glanzmann and Julia R.Vesey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a dear niece Barbara M. Beine and nephew Robert R. Glanzmann.
Ray’s family will receive condolences on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 9:00am until his Funeral Mass 11:00am at St. Bede the Venerable Church 1071 Holland Rd. Holland. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, 3401 Civic Center Blvd. Phila, PA 19104.
