Following retirement from his business, he had been keeping busy over the last 13 years collecting and restoring military vehicles, and was a member of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association. He loved restoring these vehicles dating from the 1950’s and enjoyed the challenge of simply making them run. Earl and his wife participated for many years in local parades and shows while driving his military jeeps. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War and, along with his wife he was a long time member of Doylestown Presbyterian Church.
Earl will be remembered for his vast talents, his ability to fix almost anything and his willingness to help out his neighbors and friends if they needed help with a project. He took great pride in his home and took care of everything from the landscaping to the swimming pool. He will be dearly missed.
In addition to his wife, Earl is survived by his sons, Gerry Earl Meyle and his wife, Aileen, of Line Lexington, and Theodore Lee Meyle and his wife, Ellen, of Chalfont;; five grandchildren, Christopher (Christine), Cameron, Gerry Jr., Ann Marie, and Gregory; and one great grandson, Christian Meyle. He also leaves behind two brothers, William Meyle (Joyce K.) of Oswego, Il, and Kurt Meyle of North Wales, PA; his cousin, Maragrete Neilson, and lastly, his beloved companion, his golden retriever, Daisy.
