David J. Messina of Warminster, PA died suddenly on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Doylestown Hospital. He was 21.
Born in Abington, PA he was the beloved son of Christopher L. and Catherine M. Whelan Messina.
He was the maternal grandson of the late James J. and Frances T. Cummiskey Whelan and paternal grandson of the late Dorothy A. Quattrocciochi Betik.
David was a life long resident of Warminster. He attended St. Joseph/ St. Robert School and graduated from Archbishop Wood Catholic High School, Class of 2010. David was a member of the football team at Archbishop Wood and loved to play baseball. He was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Church and was a devoted and passionate godfather. David was kind hearted and always wanted to lend a helping hand. Being good natured and a loyal friend, he never wanted to let anyone down. He loved his family, enjoyed their special vacations together and was always there to support his brothers and sisters in all of their activities. He will be remembered for his contagious smile and outgoing personality. He will be sadly missed as a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend to all who knew him.
In addition to his beloved parents, David is survived by his four brothers, Christopher, Thomas, James and Joshua and his two sisters, Catie and Amanda Messina. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday evening, March 3, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 4, from 9:30 AM until his Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 850 Euclid Avenue, Warrington, PA l8976.
Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to either St Joseph/ St. Robert’s School or SJR CYO at the above address.
