Rose A. Vallone, of Doylestown, died peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at St. Mary Manor surrounded by her family. She was 99.

She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore J. Vallone.

Born in New York NY, she was the daughter of the late Pietro and Lia DiStefano Cannizzaro and sister of the late Louis Cannizzaro.

Rose was a talented seamstress who won a scholarship to design school. She spent many years in the women's garment industry as a designer and master seamstress, creating fashions that adorned women all over the world. Rose's true passion however was her family. A devoted daughter, beloved wife and mother, she was the always at the center of family holidays and events. She enjoyed nothing more in life than having loved ones around her and making them happy. Rose had a big, generous heart and her home was always open. An expert cook, her home cooked Italian meals were legendary amongst all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter Rosemary V. Wimer and her husband Leland of Doylestown, and son Peter J. Vallone and his wife Margo of Big Canoe, GA, and her brother Thomas Cannizzaro and his wife Annette of Annandale, NJ. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren Angela & Stephen Oprendek, Christopher Wimer, Christina Vallone, Michael Vallone and Steven and Mary Vallone, and her 4 great-grandchildren Gregory, Steven, Regina and Isabella.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 11:00am until her Funeral Mass 12:00noon at St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA 18914.

Her interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory should be made to St. Jude Church at the above address.
