Norma Theresa Mansfield (Abbondante)
Norma Theresa Mansfield beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, & Great Grandmother
November 19, 1923 – April 24, 2018.
It is with a heavy heart we mourn the passing of the so loved, Norma Mansfield. At the young age of 94 and vibrant to the end, she shared herself with so many through daily phone calls, notes, Skype, or the casual in-person visit and chat.
The gift of music she learned and shared throughout her life was so prophetic to the core of who she was as a wife, friend, family member, teacher & counselor, each day was a new bar or verse. Norma attended The Juilliard School of Music and taught piano to young and old for over 80 years. She continued to teach appreciation of her skills and joy of music till her passing.
Norma was predeceased by her loving husband, John Mansfield, of 50 years where she remained by his side until his death at the age of 74. Norma is survived by her children Alan John Mansfield and Karen Ann Mansfield; Son-in-law Richard Paskman and Daughter-in-law Sharon O’Neill; loving grandchildren Alessi Cara Brindisi, Evan Joseph Brindisi, and Lauren Mansfield Stamper; and great grandchildren Goldie Stamper and Jed Stamper.
She moved from Somerset, NJ to Newtown, PA to live with Karen and Richard, where she lived over the last few years. Eventually living with her new and loving family at Chandler Hall. She was adored, adopted as Mom or Grandma, or great new friend. Though small in stature, Norma was a ray of sunshine, which many looked forward to encountering in some way each day. Her faith in the Lord enabled her to join her beloved, departed husband John in eternal companionship. The loss of our loved one is comforted by knowing she is at peace with the Lord. She will remain in our hearts forever.
Norma leaves this World with many fond memories for all who knew her well and the wish to meet again in Heaven.
Services and interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Bucks County Spca, P.O. Box 277 Lahaska, PA 18931.
