Steven M. Jankowski of Penndel passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 13, 2018. He was 63.
Steven was the husband of Melissa R. Reich.
Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Joseph V. and Claire Kletcheck Jankowski.
Steve grew up in the Nottingham neighborhood of Bensalem, attending Our Lady of Fatima School where he proudly served as an altar boy. He graduated from Archbishop Ryan High School in 1971 after which he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Minot, North Dakota serving his country as a missile systems analyst.
Following his military service, Steve worked for Saxon Business Products as a technician. He joined Cabrun Ink Products in Philadelphia first as a salesman, and continued his career in graphic arts at Cabrun for over 30 years as a printing ink chemist doing research and development, color matching, and lab management.
As a young man Steve marched with a local string band in the New Year’s Day Mummers Parade playing saxophone. For many years he coached his sons in little league baseball and soccer, first at Valley AA and later at Pennsbury AA. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed horseshoes with his neighborhood friends, loved tending his vegetable garden, and made his own beer.
In addition to his wife Steven is survived by his children, Scott R. Jankowski, Alex S. Jankowski, Julia R. Jankowski, and Rachel S. Jankowski. He also leaves behind his siblings, Joseph Jankowski (Carla), Mark Jankowski (Tracy), Rick Jankowski (Dawn), Joanne Dry (Rick) and Anne Hande (Rick).
