Catherine E. Glynn of Langhorne passed away peacefully with her family by her side in her home on Friday, April 6, 2018. She was 93.
Catherine was the wife of the late John P. Glynn Sr. and mother of the late John P. Glynn Jr. and the late Joseph A. Glynn.
Born in Jersey City, NJ she was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Galvin Clarkin.
Catherine was a former resident of Richboro before moving to Langhorne in 1980. She was a daily communicant of the Church of St. Andrew and assisted with the Baptismal bibs for the children who were baptized at the parish. Catherine provided dedicated care for over 50 years for her late son Joseph who had Down Syndrome. She enjoyed babysitting for her grandchildren and her favorite pastime was a trip to TJMaxx. In her teens, Catherine was a cheerleader, had the lead role in her high school musicals, and enjoyed attending weekly dances. Catherine was a devoted and deeply loved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was and will always be an exemplary example of Christian life. Her Catholic faith and her family were her life. Catherine will be deeply missed by her family and by all who came to know her.
Surviving are her children, Beth Ulanowski and her husband, Ed, of Newtown; Meg Baun and her husband, Glenn of Southampton; and Maura Glynn Moore and her husband, Tom, of Langhorne. She also leaves behind her eight grandchildren: Daniel Farrell, Maura Beth Farrell, Jennifer Monahan, Kristen DiMaria, Teresa Reilly, Kate Andrews, Glenn David Baun, and Alyssa Garnich; and their spouses Christopher Monahan, Michael DiMaria, Nick Reilly, Jennifer Andrews, Colleen Baun, and Heather Horowitz; and twelve great-grandchildren: Jacob Farrell, Noah Farrell, Christopher Monahan, Tara Monahan, Katie DiMaria, Michael DiMaria, Jason Reilly, Emma Reilly, Abigail Reilly, Avery Baun, Austin Baun, and Kinsley Baun.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 10:00 AM until Catherine’s Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 13th in the Olde Church of St. Andrew, 135 S. Sycamore St., Newtown, PA 18940. Her interment will follow in the adjacent parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Catherine’s name to the Monastery of St. Clare, 1271 Langhorne-Newtown Rd., Langhorne, PA 19047.
