Frank J. O'Hara of Ivyland, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. He was 67.

Born in Philadelphia, Frank was the beloved husband of 47 years to Nancy Solly O’Hara. He was the devoted son of the late Francis J. O’Hara and Elizabeth Munchweiler O’Hara Durkin and brother of the late Thomas Durkin.

Frank was a resident of the Ivyland and Churchville area for the past 50 years. He was a graduate of Council Rock High School, class of 1969. He proudly served in the United States Coast Guard during the Vietnam Conflict, and was a member of the Addisville Reformed Church, Richboro for many years as well as the Middletown Grange # 684.

Frank was a heavy equipment operator for many years before founding and starting, O’Hara Construction and Ivy~landscapes in 1981. Frank’s creativity and artistic design and love of outdoors made him a natural for this type of construction. He loved hunting, swimming and building huge sandcastles on the beach in Seaside Heights and Ocean City NJ.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, being an avid birdwatcher, most recently during his illness; he had bird feeders hung outside his bedroom windows so that he could watch them all day long. His love of animals was to be admired, except when he would bring them home from his construction sites and no animal was too large or small.

Frank was a family man, his family and home came first and foremost, and it could be said that he left no stone unturned either on a project or at home. He was a gentle giant whose word was his bond. He was loved by many but cherished by his devoted family.

In addition to his beloved wife Nancy, he is survived by his four daughters and their spouses; Shannon Brown and her husband Christopher, Kristin Reilly and her husband Ronald, Michelle Harvey and her husband Albert and Jeanette O’Hara Barber and Joseph Barber, one brother Jack Durkin, three sisters and their husbands, Linda Davis and her husband William, Hope Gruber and her husband Joseph, Kelly Young and her husband Robert. He is also survived by his nine dear grandchildren: Conor, Justin, Morgan, Delaney, Jackson, Abigail, Reese, Madeline, and Juliet.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewings on Sunday evening April 8, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm and on Monday April 9, from 9:30 am until his Funeral Service 11:00 am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.)  Richboro. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Union Cemetery, Richboro.
