John J. Bonner (Jack) of Warrington passed away peacefully of complications from pneumonia on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Doylestown Hospital. He had just turned 82 on March 1st.

He was the beloved husband of 59 years to Mary C. (nee Fanelli) Bonner.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Joseph and Regina Coonan Bonner. He was preceded in death by four sisters.

As a young man he proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the Army. He was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. His latest medal was awarded to him and other veterans by the government of South Korea to thank them for their service to their country.

Jack was a superb craftsman. He was a Master Stone Mason, Stone Setter and Bricklayer. He also was the Recording Secretary for his Union for many years. Jack was an accomplished pianist who memorized and played many classical compositions. His other hobbies included Astronomy, Model Railroading, and he was also an avid reader of Scientific subjects. He will be greatly missed by his wife and family and by those who both knew him and loved him.

In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by his daughter Lynne (Garry), his son Brian Patrick (Karen); his brother Joseph Bonner (Nancy); his grandchildren, Michael and Christine, whom he greatly cherished; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at the Joseph A. Fluehr Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave., (at Sandy Ridge Road) New Britain and to his Funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 12, at 11:00 AM at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 856 Euclid Ave., Warrington.

Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
