Colleen Duffy of Marmora, NJ and previously of Doylestown passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday March 29, 2018. She was 81.
Born in New York, she was the beloved wife of 59 years to
Thomas F. Duffy. Daughter of the late Timothy and Margaret King Hickey, devoted mother of the late Stephen and Kevin (Dawn), sister of the late Greg (Betty), Tom (Celia), Lani (Kip) Geller.
Colleen was a resident of Marmora for the past 25 years having formerly lived in Doylestown and Chalfont for over 33 years.
Her strong commitment to Catholic education developed while attending Saint Francis DeSales and Villa Maria Academy. While raising six boys, she was a familiar face at St. Jude’s and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel grade schools. Her interest in sports started at Archbishop Wood High School. Colleen was an avid sports fan and if Notre Dame wasn’t playing, she always had a good book or a crossword puzzle “almost done”. She was a vibrant and loving woman who welcomed everyone into her family.
In addition to her beloved husband she is survived by her sons, Michael and his wife Patricia, Thomas and his wife Linda, Sean and his wife Maureen and Brendan and his wife Colleen.
