Robert A. McDaniel of Holland, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, March 19, 2018 with his loving wife and family by his side at Chandler Hall Hospice.  He was 80.

Bob was the loving and devoted husband of Catherine Giampetro McDaniel with whom he shared 54 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Robert A. and Julia Morrissey McDaniel.

Bob graduated from North Catholic High School before proudly going on to serve with the United States Air Force from 1956-1960.  Shortly after his honorable discharge from the Air Force he met and married his beloved wife, Catherine.  They resided for 30 years in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia and for the last 24 years in Holland, Bucks County.

Bob led a long career working for the U.S. Government’s War Reserve in Defense Personnel Support and Supplies.  He retired as a manager after 42 years.  In retirement he enjoyed travelling all over with his wife, and together they enjoyed countless cruises with destinations from the Caribbean to Europe.

Bob was a self proclaimed history buff and voracious reader and enjoyed cutting articles of interest from the newspaper to share with his friends and family.

Most importantly, Bob was devoted to his wife and family, never missing a Friday night date night with his devoted wife or any quality time spent with his children and grandchildren.  He will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his daughters, Eileen M. Sykes (Paul) of Harleysville, PA and Patricia A. Curry (T.J.) of Holland, PA; his adoring grandchildren, Kathryn, Daniel, Amanda, Jessica, and Julianne; and his sister Betty Delp (the late John) of Warminster, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954 and to his Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Rd., Newtown, PA 18940. His interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
