Henry “Hank” M. Sliwka of Holland died Friday, March 7, 2014 at his residence. He was 87.

Hank was the beloved husband to the late Mary J. Slota Sliwka.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Michael and Wanda Bialy Sliwka and the father of the late Michael H. Sliwka and brother of the late Albert Sliwka.

Hank was a former resident of Philadelphia before moving to Holland in 1981. He was an accomplished Machinist and Tool and Die Maker throughout his life and worked with various companies which included Exide Battery and Heintz Company until his retirement. In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing and boating at the New Jersey Shore and quality times spent with his family. Hank was proud of his Polish heritage and enjoyed attending the polish festivals and he traveled back to Poland several times.

Hank is survived by his sons, Stephen J. Sliwka of Bristol Township, Mark A. Sliwka and his wife Denise of Warminster and John J. Sliwka and his wife Theresa of Churchville. He is also survived by his sisters Bertha Gentile of Warrington and Wanda Makarewicz of Philadelphia and his 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10:00am until his Funeral Mass 11:00am on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem.
