Michael E. Tandy, of New Britain, PA died at home on Thursday, February 15, 2018.  He was 74 years old.

Born in Peekskill, NY, he was the son of the late Vincent and Harriet LeBrake Tandy. Michael was a Customer Service and Purchasing Representative with Electrosoft for 14 years. After retirement, he worked with the Intelligencer for 17 years, retiring in 2016.

While his family was of utmost importance, he enjoyed fishing, tinkering with gadgets and time spent at the shore.

Michael is survived by his long-term loving companion, Donna M. O’Donnell; his children, Megan Brennan and her husband Kevin, Shannon Shepard and her husband James, Kyle Tandy, Chris O’Donnell, and Kevin O’Donnell and his wife Jennifer; his grandchildren, Rebecca, Ella, Tricia, Morgan, Ethan, Nicholas, Colin, Paige and Alexandra. He is also survived by his brother David Tandy, and his wife Cecilia and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Michael’s family on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 11:00am until the time of his funeral service, 12:00 Noon, at the Joseph A. Fluehr, III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901. His interment will follow with military honors at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made either to the Tisch Research Center of New York, 521 W. 57th St.; 4th Floor, New York, NY 10019, or the Disabled American Veterans, 500 Wissahickon Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19144.
